DescriptionThe Philip's Delight School is hidden high in the Catoctin Hills, besides an old lumber trail shaded by ancient trees.Nineteen children study in its seven grades, all taught by mr. McGill, who has been teaching for 42 years and plans to teach for six more. The weatherbeaten building has become swaybacked since 1932, when it replaced a burned one. That one, built in 1876, was the second on the site. William McGill teaches seven grades in a one-room building in the Catoctin Hills.
