DescriptionThis photograph showing how the USF Constellation would appear under full sail was created by Bodine from a detailed model of the ship together with ocean and sky from his extensive negative collection. The actual vessel has not been seen under sail since the 1890s. The U.S. Frigate Constellation was launched in 1797. It is a 36 gun ship and was the second frigate built for the United States Navy.
